🔹 KAS – Kerala’s IAS;The Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) is an internal service designed exclusively for Kerala, following the path of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Those selected for KAS will be appointed at the second gazetted rank, just below IAS. Through KAS, candidates can reach positions such as Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Additional Secretary, which were previously accessible only through promotions in various government departments.

🔸 Selection Process:
The KAS recruitment process includes a preliminary exam, a final exam, and an interview. The rank list will be published on February 16, 2026, after completing all stages.
🔹 Exam Dates:
The Preliminary Exam (two papers, 100 marks each) will be conducted on June 14, 2025.
The Final Exam (three papers, 100 marks each) will be held on October 17 & 18, 2025.
The Interview will be completed in January 2026, and the rank list will be published on February 16, 2026.
🔹 The syllabus for both the preliminary and final exams has been published along with the official notification.
‼️ The syllabus from the previous KAS recruitment will be followed for both exams.
🔸 Language Options:
The question papers will be available in both English and Malayalam.
For minority candidates, translations will also be provided in Tamil and Kannada.
Candidates can write their answers in English or Malayalam, while language minority candidates can answer in English, Tamil, or Kannada.

By Direct Recruitment from among full members or approved probationers in any Government Department and must not be a 1st Gazetted officer or above in the Departments in Schedule 1 of KAS Special Rules, 2018 (Please see Annexure I).
▪️STREAM 3 - 03/2025 - By Direct Recruitment from among candidates holding 1st Gazetted post or above in Departments in the Schedule 1 of KAS Special Rules, 2018 and equivalent posts in Common Categories listed in Schedule 1. (Please see Annexure I & II).

STREAM 3 - Must not have Completed 50 years of age as on 01:01:2025
